Students are strongly encouraged to take PPS 1102 Community Law Enforcement as an elective.

Students may repeat PPS 1100 Introduction to Citizenship and Community Service when the course content differs.

Plan for the CJ internship early. Internships are competitive, and some have a GPA threshold and application process. It is recommended that the internship semester is limited to 12 semester hours. In the semester prior to enrolling in an internship course, students should meet with the CJ minor coordinator or the PSC 3372/PPS 3372 or PSC 3382 course instructor to identify internship opportunities to apply for.

If PSC 2V90 taken for less than 3 credits, students need to take an additional course from the Electives section to achieve 18 credits for the minor.

Students will need to complete an application for PSC 3372/PPS 3372 or PSC 3382 prior to their registration window.

PSC 3392 Washington Internship is only offered in the summer.

PSC 3698 Bob Bullock Internship is only offered spring of odd-numbered years.
