The MSW/MBA dual degree is designed to educate leaders prepared to effectively implement financial strategies, transform organizational behavior, and leverage marketing strategies to sustain and improve human services organizations. As the demand for social workers increases with the privatization of social services, so does the need for social workers to be prepared to serve as leaders of human service organizations. The Master of Social Work program prepares students to work with individuals, communities, and society through clinical and community practice specializations. The Master's in Business Administration program prepares students to serve as leaders in generalist business roles. The dual degree will equip graduates in social work and business administration to serve as administrators, executive directors, and innovators in human service organizations. In addition, the MSW/MBA will equip and encourage graduates to develop human service organizations nationally and internationally, serving in developing countries or underserved urban areas where human needs are great, and resources are scarce.

Admission

Prospective students will be required to fulfill admission and application procedures separately for both the Waco campus Master of Social Work at the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and the Master of Business Administration programs.
