Dual Master of Business Administration / Master of Science in Information Systems
Students interested in expanding their breadth of business knowledge while concurrently obtaining an in-depth knowledge of information systems may be interested in pursuing the MBA and MSIS degrees concurrently. Within the MSIS degree program, students have the opportunity to develop a program of study that will help them achieve their specific career goals. Prior background in information systems or computer science is not required for admission.

Information Systems (MSIS) (non-thesis track only)
Candidates for this Dual MBA/MSIS must complete the requirements below. Since both degrees are awarded simultaneously, all requirements in both programs must be completed in order to receive either degree. Students are encouraged to contact appropriate advisors in each program for further details.

The following credits are shared between the MBA and MSIS:
- MBA students normally take take 3 hrs. from a restricted list of MSIS/ISEC courses, plus 12 hrs. of general business electives. Because all MSIS students must take MIS 5355 and ISEC 5305, these two courses will fulfill the MBA's 3 hr. MSIS/ISEC elective, plus 3 hrs. of general business electives.
- Dual students will take BUS 5111 (required by the MBA). This will sub for MIS 5111 (required by the MSIS).
- Students may take either BUS 5V95 (1 hr.) or MIS 5V95 (3 hrs.) to fulfill the internship requirement, but will be advised to take MIS 5V95 if additional MIS hours are needed.
- Students must complete remaining shared elective hours in such a way that at least 24 total hrs. of the student's dual program are completed with MIS or ISEC courses.
