Students interested in a career requiring complementary skills in both business and engineering may complete the Master of Engineering and MBA degrees concurrently. By proper selection of courses, students can save up to 21 hours in the dual degree compared to the individual requirements of the two separate degrees. Students should consult with advisors in both engineering and business to determine the best sequence of courses.

Master of Engineering students from industry may, with approval of their advisor, select a project that is relevant to their work responsibilities.

Students must apply and be accepted separately into the Business Administration (MBA) and Engineering (ME).

Candidates for the dual MBA/Master of Engineering degrees must complete the requirements below. Since both degrees are awarded simultaneously, all requirements in both programs must be completed in order to receive either degree. Students are encouraged to contact appropriate advisors in each program for further details.

Thirteen hours from the Engineering (ME) program will be used to replace the following MBA courses:

• BUS 5V95 Internship in Business (1 hr.)
• 12 hrs. of MBA electives
